Ive got a E6300 and PC2-6400C4 800MHz on a DS3, im getting what seem to be random crashes when starting the computer up, this results is the CPU clock being set back to automatic rather than 'manual'.

The only thing that i have got overclocked is the System Memory Multiplier to x2.0, CPU multiplier on x7 and CPU host up to 400 this gives me a Memory frequency of 800mhz and a clock of 2.8gig.
Oh, i also something set to x2.0 rather than 'auto' - cant remember what this was but its something to do with getting the RAM freq to 800mhz.

Could this be something to do with the RAM? In another post someone mentioned having to have better RAM is i use the x7 multiplier.

Not sure. The only voltage ive changed from stock was the CPU voltage which i put down to 1.25v. So if the 2.1v is stock then yes it should still be at that.

I cant check for definate as im at work.

stock is 1.8v on any DDR2 RAM but if your RAM is rated at 2.1v then you need to set it as said above to +0.3v and that sounds like it should sort you out.

Got it going now. Just have to give it a good testing!

I found a few programs o give me voltages. Like CPUID hardware monitor.

Just reset on me. Put CPU clock back to auto, so is not the RAM voltages. :(

I dont think there is a solution for this. Ill put up some screens of my BIOS when im back off work and see if anyone can spot somthing wrong.
