Gents,

I've been out the overclocking game a while but am just trying this again and need some help.

I've got a Core 2 Duo E6320 (B2 stepping i think) in an Asus P5k-e Wifi motherboard.

I've clocked the chip to about 2.5ghz with the BIOS set to 1.3v however asus probe in vista says the core is 1.19v. Everything is stable.

I would like to clock the chip higher but what is the max core voltage I should use with the standard intel heatsink? and do I trust the BIOS voltage or the Vista Asusprobe voltage? or neither!

Many thanks,
Stew

The ASUS P5K's are known for having horrendous vdroop, so the ASUS Probe figure probably will be correct.

Max vcore differs between chips. You'd be best downloading CoreTemp and using a max load temp of 65c as a guide, rather than worrying about max voltages.
