That's a fantastic overclock. Well done. :)

Did it take you a lot of tinkering to get that stable? I hear that the P5N-E has some gaps in the FSB that refure to boot or are unstable...

Nah didnt take to long....Was at 3.2 on stock cooling and stock vcore for a while so when I got the Tuniq i put straight to 3.6 with 1.457 vcore but that failed after 5 hours, then I upped it to 1.481 vcore and did 12 hrs :D

so to cap

E6400 @ 3.6ghz (1801 fsb) Tuniq on lowest rpm setting
vcore @ 1.481
NB @ 1.56v (+fan)
offset + 100mv
Unlinked mem @ 800

Will push the memory later but i want to see if i can get 3.8ghz out of it first...

anything else thats needed just ask

neil

He's actually running 1.58V because of the extra +100mV, but that's not a problem in itself as long as he has the cooling to handle it.

It's a very good overclock.

Ive got mine 6400 to 3.66 with a similar setup

i cannot get my FSB past 1840

when i step to 1850 for 3.7ghz it resets to std

Ive tried changing memory and played with timings and voltages jsut cannot get it past 1840

Thats a lot of volts goin thro the cpu though. What are you running 24/7 ?

Dont be daft lol

Tried 3.8 but its not having none of it.....tried upping the vcore and northbridge and increased the Tuniq to full speed and most I could get was 3 mins then it would fail. May try 3.7 at some point but im very happy with 3.6 :D

Ahha, didn't spot that bit! :)

I couldn't get 3.8 with mine.. Most it will do is 3.75Ghz with 1.55Vs..

Have you performed the pencil mod to reduce the vdroop? If not then try it and let us know if it gives you more stable overclocks =)

That Overclock won me a QX6700 yesterday at multiplays i30 lan.

i came second in the 3dmark 06 competition Intel were running.

the winner won a dell xps and i got a quad core extreme cpu.

Well chuffed :D

Nice! Would love to have one of those to play around with myself. I want to see how high you can get it on this board. Now! :p
