I'm not seeing both cores in Vista ultimate. I have check in cpu history and with cpuz and TAT. Have tried uninstalling driver with no luck on the redetection on boot up and tried the msconfig/boot/advanced options/unticking number of processors (only sees one)/tick HAL and reboot but still only one core detected.

Have tried to find some drivers for an E6400 for vista*32 with no luck. Anyone got any suggestions?

Open up Task Manager. (Ctrl + Alt + Del) then go to preformance. How many 'blacks do you see next to the CPU usage block the on left side?

I'll try that later but my 2nd core is not even being recognised in 3dmark06, possibly might need to try the repair option or reinstalling.

Update: With Cpuz 1.43 the 2nd core still not detected.

Before you try repairing, check the second core is enabled in the BIOS.

Have you changed CPU since installing Vista?

:D funny you should say that as I was having a rethink and thought you numptie you forgot to reset the bios after reflashing. Anyway as you can see alls o.k now apart from that widget won't read my OC(been stable since summer) and that clock looks nice but takes a few seconds more to load up. Thanks for the input guys.
