Ive noticed recently my E6400 has been getting a bit toasty. In the sense I have a few IE windows open, WMP and currently got 51c on both cores.
I used to run this chip at 3.4GHz orthos stable and didnt go past 63c using a Freezer 7 Pro. I have been running at Stock for a while now.
I cleaned out the heatsink and reseated it with some new AS5, temps are still the same. Really dont understand it, CPU usage is minimal.
Can someone please reccomend a new cooler, budget of about £30. It has to be one that I can fit without having to remove the motherboard; bearing in mind I have a BIG case and fitting the Freezer 7 without removing the board was a peice of cake. I just can't be bothered with rebuilding it after sorting out all the cables neatly.
Cooling in the case should be good, its a Gigabyte 3D aurora. Front 12cm ram, tons of room, tidy cables, 2 rear 12cm fans.
Been considering the Tuniq as its so good and has a lot of positive reviews. Does anyone know whether this will fit ok on my board? Its a Gigabyte P965-DS3 Revision1 I think.
