E6400 or E6600?

Should I go for the e6400 or e6600 as the better overclocker, I know the 6400 has a 4mb cache as the only difference other than benchmark speed, how much difference does this make?

I thought the 6600 would clock higher than the 6400?

If I opt for the slower processor do I still go for the Gigabyte DS3 MoBo?

I want the max I can get from the Chip so that I can happily run my machine without crashes for a longtime to come.

Guys that's not a definitive answer!

I can't stretch to a ds4, so would I get 3.5/3.6 ghz from a 6300 in a DS3 or should I just stick to the 6600 in that MoBo.

I'm a bit lost as to what I should do.

Go for the cheaper one then if you do kill it overclocking its not so much money to lose...

Now that's got me scared, how fragile are these things, haven't got much money to lose at the mo.

Can anyone with a 6300 and ds3 let me know how far they've managed to reliably overclock to?

Cheers
