Ok i currently have a E6400 with a stock cooler (no real overclocking) and have just bought a Q6600 from members market (B3 stepping)

I dont plan on doing any overclocking, or at most I woudl do the 20% safe oc that my motherboard has in bios .

Will the stock cooler off my 6400 be suficient for the quad?

was going to get an artic freezer from OC, but to be honest my working times dont work well with OCs open times (i live less than a mile away so seems stupid to pay extra for postage) and looks like I wont be able to get down till NEXT weekend, dont really want to wait another 10 days to be bale to test the quad.

any opinions?

The B3 stepping run very hot. I would think it would be fine running it at stock; however even a small overclock 10%, might be too much for the stock cooler.
