e6400 vs q6600

got the board & have the e6400 was just wondering would it be better to have the q6600, would be a straight swapout of the cpu really
 
a little oc to 3ghz & would use for gaming & encoding. I have aslight issue with my other pc which is an e6750 in a blitz formula, still unsure of it but the older system is better & quicker!!! anyway was gonna retire my old gaming amd machine & do this to my 1st c2d pc the e6400 :D




(been on night shift so a little confused as usual but payday looms & my pocket is burning)
 
remember this is an asus 975x chipset mobo so does it have limitations for the cpu? bedtime now cant see my monitor despite it being 24`
