I am getting a E6420 cpu and need a MB to go with it?

I am currently running a AGP MB as you can see in my sig and thinking about upgrading to a PCI-e card.

What would you recommend, something good but as cheap as possible as I need the extra cash to get the 8800GTS that Im thinking of getting.

Are you going to be overclocking much?

Im no motherboard guru, but I have the same processor and I went for the Asus P5N-E SLI. Although the motherboard does have it's issues regarding memory, I have had my E6420 at 3.6 stable, but the temps weren't exactly comforting.

Oops, almost forgot, I also bought a little heatsink to stick onto the southbridge because this motherboard hasnt actually got anything there

I was thinking that too, but no overclocking and price as a premium. Most of the 965 boards are closer to £60. Depends what the spend is. You gotta spend a bit more money for the good stuff :)

sell the 1950 agp graphics card as i beleive you should still get quite a bit for a crackin card like that, use the funds to get a P35 DS3R.
