hey guys, not sure how to put this but i'll try my best.

I'm thinking about a HTPC and was really just wondering if i had a Intel E6420 core2duo processor would have enough power to let me watch a HD-DVD or BluRay-DVD from something like this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-074-LG&groupid=701&catid=10&subcat=314

of course i'd have a a 2600XT with the obvious HDMI output or similar.

would this work or would i get stuttering and random crap just messing it up.

awesome :) thanks for your replies.

i've just thought of something else though. sound? HDMI is sound and audio in one (i think so anyways) so how does sound get sent to the TV?

done bother with an e6420, get a cheaper cpu for example e2180. You can overclock it if you so desire to make it as quick as a 6420 but even without overclocking it will enable you to decode 1080 without any problems.
