E6420 Price Affected

As we all know Intel are reducing their prices on the C2D range on or about the 22nd. Will the new E6420 price be reduced from the current £135.11, or will it just be the existing CPU's (E6*00's). Cheers.

If that's the case, then it will be best to wait for the price reduction to affect the E6600, coz that will surely bring the currently priced E6600 (around the £180 mark), down to about £130, which is just slightly less than the E6420 now (£135). Am I right in this assumption or am I missing something and going slightly bonkers!!

lol, why would they reduce the price of the e6600 (which at stock is faster then the e6420), to below that of the e6420?
The e6600 would most probably retair for something like £150-160 price bracket. Actually have seen e6600 for £162 at a certain place.

The E6600 will be coming down as will all the other chips. So yes the E6600 should be a few quid more than the E6400 is now, and the 6420 will be more in line with current 6300 pricing.

Yes, I think it's going to pan out something like

E4300 - £85
E4400 - £95
E6300 - £100
E6320 - £110
E6420 - £130
E6600 - £155
E6700 - £250
Q6600 - £350
X6800 - £400
QX6700 - £550
QX6800 - £750

but that's just my speculation.

I still think the E4300 will be the best budget overclocker. The E4400 has 10x multiplier, but from reviews it clocked slower than the E4300. (I think the E4300 got to something like 3.4GHz, while the E4400 got to 3.2GHz or something).

Them prices seem resonable.

What I think is that the E6300 and the E6400 will both be going, becuase of the E4300, E4400 and the E6x20s.

Im also pretty sure that the X6800 has already gone / will be going.

There is apparently a Q6400 coming out. So I wouldnt be suprised if the E6700 goes but I think they will keep that.

QX6800 is apparently going to be pretty rare, so I think that is all we are really going to see until Penryn.
