Hi there

I have disabled 'EIST' (speedstep) & 'C1E' to get the cpu to run at the correct speed however vista goes to 100% load and stays there ? am i missing something ?

This all came about as my cpu is sitting @ 1600 in cyrsis which i thought would forced it to go quicker

Try looking at the vista power management, look at the advanced part and the maximum allowed cpu speed. My speedstep would stay at x6 all the time unless turned off, however i found out that the max speed was set to 50%, now set to 100 speedstep works correctly!
