E6600 and E6750

I'm looking at building my friend a PC, and I was looking at the CPUs. As far as I can tell, the E6750 is better than the E6600, and £15 cheaper. Is there something I'm missing, is this a mis-labeling, or what?

No, its just a newer cpu with a newer price tag.

Yep, the E6750 is better, it's just that it's the new product. The E6600s are getting phased out.

so how are they ever going to sell the E6600 with such a high price tag?

Some boards won't work with a 1333MHz CPU so it still offers a potential upgrade for some people.
