I received my e6600 yesterday, after running an e6300 a week or so. My first thoughts upon opening the box was how much more meaty the fan was on the heatsink. Installed the chip + fan, and I'm now seeing around 28C for both cores on idle. With the previous chip and stock intel fan I was seeing about 34/36.
So that's my findings. I take it the e6600 did just come with a better fan then?
