Hi,

Just a quick question regarding the E6600.

What is the motherboards FSB supposed to be on, in auto mode it leaves it at 266, is that correct? the motherboeard can go upto 550, I am not sure if its supposed to be much higher regarding the E6600, as previous motherboards I had default in auto mode to a much lesser bus speed than the CPU is capable in order to be safe.

thanks

ok, now that i know the proper bus settings, I tested it on 3d marks 06 and the cpu test only managed a max of 1 frame a second... is that right? it seems ver very low. in comparison to what I used in 03 with an athlon xp 2500.

Correct. It's why we have 3D accelerators to do all the graphics. The CPU can't hack it. If you want to compare to your XP 2500 then run 3D Mark '03 again. Also, save and upload your 3D Mark results to the ORB for later comparisons.
