So i was overclocking my graphics card yesterday, when i pushed it too far and it crashed during a Crysis bench. Now for some reason the E6600 has reverted back to 2.4GHz and i cant seem to fix it.

The fsb is set to 378 in the BIOS, the multiplier is x9 as it should be, speed stepping is turned off and ive tested that via Prime and the vcore is right, but when i boot up its like its not registering those settings at all and it just boots at 2.4.

So im not really sure what else to try short of flashing my BIOS, any thoughts?

lo m8y.....just make sure cpu host clock control is enabled and system memoru multiplier is set at 2....thats just incase youve missed em.

That is a co-incidence! A month ago, I had the same problem on a Asus P5-NT deluxe motherboard with my E6600. Try as I might I could not overclock it any more, so as a last resort, I flashed the BIOS and after that it overclocked fine. I can only presume that the BIOS became corrupted and the flashing solved it. Always worth a try.

This thread didnt get many answers but just incase someone searches and gets this thread i solved the problem by taking power completely off the motherboard. I also flashed it again but that was after it was fixed.
