Hey guys,
The 6600's can run on multipliers from 6-9 right? or wrong?
At the moment my overclock is at 9x356, with a 1:1 - 3.2ghz
I wanted my memory at full frequency however so dropped multiplier to 8x400 to achieve the higher fsb - 3.2ghz
With the latter overclock tho several programs read it as 3600 (orthos, TAT, GA easytune) which is what it would be with the 9 mulitplier. Cpu-z is the only program that reads it correctly.
As the bios settings are correct i assume it is definatly at 3.2 but anybody shine any light on the incorrect prog readings.
p.s updated bios from f5 to f8 but still the same. However my idle/load temps have dropped about 5 degrees! can a bios update impact hardware temps like this? all settings are definatly the same. ( only thing i can think is i didnt have C1E disabled but now do)
Thanks Ryan.
