Hey guys... just had a go last night and today at over clocking.

I upped the voltages to:

CPU Core: 1.45V
CPU FSB: 1.5V
nForce SPP: 1.50V

Then I choose unlinked from Memory and upped the FSB to 1512 which will give me a over clock of 3.4Ghz.

I'm in Windows now and looking at the temps.

It's idling at:

CPU - 46c
Core 0 - 51c
Core 1 - 50c

My HSF is a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. I think these temps are bit high?
Before overclocking my temps were just 38c Idle.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I'd leave the voltage at default and try the FSB at 333. Then increase it to 350 see what temps you report! Thats quite hot for that overclock.

Can you guys recommend a best HSF?

Thanks guys. I'm back at stock until I get myself a better HSF.

tunic tower, noctua, thermalright... all considered the best out there at the moment...

I'll check to see which of them fit in well with a 680i EVGA

What do u guys set your fan speed to?

I've set mine as:

< 51c = 35%
> 51c = 100%

what about you guys?

ive set it to 333 and im running orthos and speedfan is reporting cpu temps of 50c at load. is that right? ive set the volts to auto aswell.

my fan goes to 100% soon as the temps hit 51c or above
once the temps hit 50c the fan sets it back to 40%.

what do you guys think?

400*8 on a E6600 for stable 3.2GHz on stock voltage ( I think )

Depending on your ram you can set the divider at 2.0 for 800Mhz or 2.5 for 1000Mhz :-)
