Its been a while since I've overclocked. So i'm a bit out of practice. Does this look OK:

FSB 1350
Multi 9x

1.2VHT 1.2
VCore 1.2687
Mem 1.9
NorthB 1.2
SouthB 1.5
CPU VTT 1.2

Mem
4-4-4-15 T2 (does T1 give a boost to performance, as it does on AMD)
Unlinked 2:3 (no idea about this)

Getting 17353 on 3dmark05. (sound right?)

Do you think I should try get more out? Any suggestions?

Edit: On Air (Arctic Freezer Pro 7), 41c idle - 56 load (sp2004 overnight)

Also do you think its better to leave a new rig a bit before overclocking? Or just do it right away?

Always let your rig post for a few hours (some say longer) to ensure that the temps do stabilise and don't just keep going up.

Saying that, those like good temps to me. Push it a bit more, monitor the temps with Intel TAT and run Orthos blend test for 15-30 mins. Repeat until errors, then up the core voltage a tiny amount.

When you run the RAM on a divider (like 2:3) then you are setting the ratio of FSB to ram speed. So be aware, when you OC your FSB you'll push your RAM, unless it is unlinked.

Also, I don't think RAM timings offer much real world performance gains on a Conroe rig (certainly not as much as AMD).

I do have the ram running in unlinked mode, I take it this is the best way to run it then? Also should that divider be left on 2:3?

I'll try pushing the cpu tonight to see what it'll get too before it starts to cook. Anyone know what the limit temp wise is on e6600's?

As long as it is unlinked, then the divider shouldn't matter. What happens when you unlink is technically it is linked, but the memory speed drives the divider rather than the other way round. So you set the memory to 400 (800 ddr) say, and the FSB to 335 (1340 QDR) and then the memory divider goes to 13:11 and the memory is actually at 792 MHz or something.

I try and keep the my conroe to under 60, but perhaps that is over-cautious. Seems a good number as it is the upper limit for the warranty of the chip ;)

Saying that, my friend has his e4300 at 73 degrees with an 85% overclock! (I think he just did it for the screenie though :D ).
