Just wondering what sort of overclocks some people are getting. Today I had a bit off a mess about with my Asus P5W DH and E6600.

I normally run it on a 333fsb stock volts and ram @ 833mhz. But heres what I tryed today so far...

FSB: 333

MULTI: 9x

RAM: 833

VCORE: 1.3v

STABLE Y/N: Y

FSB: 340

MULTI: 9

RAM: 850

MULTI: 8

Interestingly on this bios 1407 I can run at a lower multi and so reduce vcore and have nice and low temps. I was hoping for 8x 380fsb but im not sure my rams up to it, as I couldnt boot, maybe i might have to raise vcore to.

Anyway something for you noob conroe overclockers to ponder. :)

the fsb does top out early on that mobo, mine started getting flaky at 380. they seem a bit hit and miss.

its all on the vmch.

Yeah thats what i was thinking too, I will push it some more see what I get. The only problem testing these overclocks is the horrible power downs on reboot etc, I wish asus would fix this, but apparently anything over 300 fsb and it happens.

yea, its even worse with a phase unit, as when they stop receiving power from the psu they shut down and you have to wait a few mins to start it up.

have to set up a seperate power supply just to provide it with a signal.

It's a nightmare Tom and it makes me wonder why they havent fixed it on the P5W as they have on the P5B.

Edit:

Ooops above beat me to it lol. :p
