E6600 Stock HSF Temps?

I've just got myself an E6600 / DS3 combo and I'm using the retail HSF, what kind of temps should I be expecting with this?

I've just looked into the BIOS and it's reporting 45ish +/- a few idle, what do you guys get? is it worth reseating everything or am I likely to be OK.

I've no plans to overclock yet I just don't want to damage my CPU.

Am getting 23-25 idle on a sycthe ninja, 45 degree is fine , wont damage anything, but seems a little high for just idle stock.

Seems a bit high. My E6600 with stock HSF on a P5W-DH is currently showing 28 in asus probe II and Core Temp shows 45/44. Might be an idea to get hold of core temp and see what it reports. Temps are also dependant on your case and the airflow it provides, comparing temps from system to system is only a rough guide.

24C PC probe idle and 45 flat out with prime or whatever here.
