Right, i moved my computer, turned it on and after short while it turned itself off.
I checked in the bios and the CPU was in the 90s (centigrade) not good.
I checked the fan on *** cpu was working, it is.
I pressed down on the pressy things.
It now is running at 66 idle.
This is clearly still too hot. i dont have any thermal paste or even anything to clean the cpu and heatsink with if i did.
If i removed and reseated the heatsink fully would i need to apply new or would the old be ok. Its been on for some time.
On a second note, can anyone recomend an easy to fit heatsink as the stock intel one is rubbish. I dont want to have to remove the mobo from the case either.
