E6600 trouble?

hey i have a overclock of 3ghz 333x9

and i just opened cpu-z and for some reason it was at standard stock speeds and i ran super pi to see what was going on and i got stock speed results. then i re opened cpu-z and my overclock was back and i ran super pi and i got 16.9seconds 1meg test.

whats going on? :S

if you know what might of happened please do say so thanks :)
 
Have you still got Speedstep (etc.) enabled ?? EIST in BIOS.....this will scale back CPU speed when not needed.....as per laptops.....
