E6600 trouble?

hey i have a overclock of 3ghz 333x9

and i just opened cpu-z and for some reason it was at standard stock speeds and i ran super pi to see what was going on and i got stock speed results. then i re opened cpu-z and my overclock was back and i ran super pi and i got 16.9seconds 1meg test.

whats going on? :S

if you know what might of happened please do say so thanks

Have you still got Speedstep (etc.) enabled ?? EIST in BIOS.....this will scale back CPU speed when not needed.....as per laptops.....

Yeh, Just kill SpeedStep, EIST & all the rest of the crap that hold CPU back
