i have FSB on my P5W DH set to 410 with all mobo voltages set to max

i set the vcore to 1.6 but when windows boots up cpu-z shows only 1.213
what am i doing wrong ?

its a bug in cpuz. on my e6600, when i set voltage in bios more than 1.45v cpuz doesnt read it properly and displays similar results to yours.

What cooling are you using btw? 1.6v is kinda high on a volts

edit - doh just seen your sig, water :)

He's using watercooling as in his sig I'm guessing, so 1.6 is probably the max he wants to put through.

currently set the voltage down to 1.55
tested with ORTHOS for 20 mins all seems ok

idle temps 33-35
100% load 52-54

i don't think i should try any further, my PC runs 24/7 , what do you reckon ?

water yes

can you guys give me some advice on the memory ?
this is what i get with my FSB set to 400 and the memory set to DDR2-800Mhz. I have 2Gb Cellshock PC6400

any suggestiong on speeding the memory up ?

set it to 4-4-4-12-4 seems to be working fine
not sure if i'm doing it right , never played with memory before. does it mean it runs at 800Mhz still ?

The latest version of CPUz fixes some issues, possibly including the voltage one you're reporting.

yes CellShock 6400 runs fine at 400mhz( DDR 800) fsb cpu/ ram at 1:1 at 12-4-4-4
however TRC should be between 20 and 42
seems you put it to 4,I think it´s to low

Cellshock PC2 6400 is a great RAM with Micron D9 chip´s ,wich means that could overclock at 1000mhz( and even more like 1050/ 1100mhz)
in that case with relaxed timmings( 18-5-5-5) and a little more Vdimm ( 2.3 / 2.35 / 2.40V) :)

a review on that

note: GEIL ram PC 2 5400 and PC2 6400 used in this test is not the normal Geil LL stuff ( I think),because they said this ones have Micron chip s ,but Geil DDR2 Ultra normally have Elpida or Aeneon chip´s ( unless GEIL have changed their chip´s for Micron wich is nice :) )

I mate

I have a P5B dlx ,so my bios ram settings are not exactly the same

your first pic is ok
write recovery time is set to 4 ( could be 5 or 6) but 4 seems ok
the other settings are 12-4-4-4 wich are pretty good timmings for DDR 800

in the second pic I think you have to put Dram Frequency to 400 ( instead of auto) in order it works at 1:1 with tre frequency of the cpu ,wich is set to 400 too

the vdimm is set to 2.2V( wich is the default of Cellshock)
for DDR 800 I think this is enough

if you overclock more the ram( like 450 / 500mhz) then you could need to do a little more vdimm ( like 2.3 / 2.4V) :)

anyway a 3600mhz in a E6600 is a very good overclock, specially on that board( intel 975 can not get as high fsb as 965 chipset)if it is Orthos stable

but i think you could reach more fsb on that board( i´m not sure though)
my P5B does 475/480fsbx8 easily

Your memory is way under spec there. Yours is currently set at 600mhz(300x2), your memory is specified to run at 800mhz(400x2).
