e6600 which board

DFI 975X Infinity would also be worth consideration - 975X is still the fastest clock for clock isn't it?

ok its about £10 more than your budget but I would be buying an Abit Quad GT. Love this board! So much potential plus a Clear CMOS switch on the back of the board!

if he's willing to spend the extra £10 I wouldn't disagree :)

He hasn't posted back due to there not being any valid reason why.
I didn't post back due to having other things to do outside of this web site.

650 is the better chipset. More features. Potentially better overclock.

Watch your attitude.

Sorry but thats just not correct.

Why is the 650 the better chipset?

In fact the only thing that the 650 has going for it over the 965 is SLI and thats only if its needed.

Thats it,

I have tried and tested

680i
650i
975
965

I now use a DS3 rev with my 6400 due to it being the stable and allowing higher FSB both over the 680i and 650i chipsets.

So watch your attitute.

Saying its just better and allows potentially higher clocks is not enough to warrant your claim.
