E67/6850 DS4 compatibility

Before I buy one or the other does anyone know if these processors will work on a Gigabyte DS4 (965) or do I need to upgrade my motherboard?

That mobo depending on revision does not support the new 1333 FSB C2D's

Just get a Q6600 instead for the same outlay

The Rev 2.0 and 3.3 does from the F10 bios. I guess you have the Rev 1.0 then.

Do the 1333FSB version not post in older boards? Or just default to 1033FSB?

Posted in a v1.0 DS3 with old BIOS and P5B with old bios too, had microcode error, haven't flashed em yet but they work. Boot at 1066 as expected.
