E6700 Price?

Is there a reason that the E6700 is priced so high. Compared to an E6850 which is better, but cheaper?

the e6700 came out first and was oever priced then. they basically havent reduced the price very much. and if its lowered to much would be selling at loss.

the 10x multi make sit very appealing to someone with phase as a lower fsb is needed for a higher clock
