E6700 to i7?

Hey guys,

Got a question, been out of the 'game' for a while now and have been wondering how my computer compares with say the i7 920. (often hear this CPU so assume its the best for performance/overclockability).

I browse the net and game. At the moment I would say that the PC does me okay.

Im curious whether an upgrade would be worthwhile, I know sometimes benchmarks can be twice as fast when comparing - but I'm looking for real world scenarios.

Sorry for another type of what should I get thread, but wondering how the two systems compare?

Reason i ask is because not a lot of reviews compare against the older C2D 775 systems.
