E6750 - E6850 G0's Overclocked

Actually, that's not as good as I was expecting, as that voltage is fairly high.

Yes but note the CPU temperature and its aircooling that is being used Jokester.

Aye 47C idle temps isn't looking too great, I seem to remember X6800 doing similar sorts of results when they were released.

I only posted those links as an indicator as to what to expect from the new C2D 1333 fsb chips, don't forget
that guy "Coolaler" is some kinda whizz kid overclocker and he was using RAM that's not generally available here

3.850Ghz with 1.47v

my old E6600 (ES) did 3.800Ghz Orthos stable with only 1.45v.

Look at the multi used and the fsb gained. This is really showing what fsb the mobo can get to with that CPU. Thus the high voltage yet the low multi.

That is a very good overclock that he has obtained there.

Not at first, but more recent chips have done the same or better.

Yea one of my L629B can do 3.8Ghz on 1.425v if it did'nt run as hot as a furnace in summer, waiting on some cooling to come in before i crank it up again.

Hi there,

Sorry. . yes indeed it was actually showing the maximum FSB aquired using the ABIT IP35 PRO which was 550 FSB, I bet it clocked a lot higher than that with a lower FSB.

The FSB is impressive, thought it could be a suicide shot, not ORTHOS stable.
My chip hit a 510 FSB wall :( but then again it had a x9 multi so I used that :)

Ive heard the released G0 samples can have a FSB wall 490+ so possibly he has many of them and chose to show the best, he has been known to before.

I really hope they are that good but after reading XS forums for the last few years I very rarely see the end user get the same results. Sorry if im negative :D lol

Aye your totally right, most people on the XS forums just post suicide shots because they arent bothered about stability just how big fast their times are etc.

I will be very surprised if these Retail E6850's etc etc show the same results, but it wont put me off purchasing a G0 stepping. :)
