I'm using an Asus P5B motherboard and recently overclocked the cpu to
3.2 Ghz. Then bougt an Asus 8800gt, but before installing the card, I set the
cpu back to its default speed and noticed the volts were higher than when
overclocked. I had initially disabled Intel Speedstep when the cpu was overclocked. Re-enabled it and even at 6 x multiplyer running at 2Ghz its still
running at 1.408 volts thats obviously way too high. Using CPU-Z to read the
temps, it seems to be working fine showing the temprature changes each time I make adjustments to the cpu.
Anyone have any ideas as to why the board won't change the volts down as
I've reduced the clock speed. I'm using the 1604 bios for my board and 169.02
drivers for my GFX card.
