Just a quickie - I'm thinking of one of these for a P35 mobo...why are the older 6600's more expensive than the 6750?

Thx

some motherboards do not support the 1333FSB of the new 6750 cpu's...
So there is still going be big demand for the 6600 1066FSB cpu's..

Just to be clear for the OP - the P35 mobo's, that he's said he's looking at, do support the 1333FSB cpu's like the 6750.

Old stock, bought at a higher price.

Just buy the 6750 :)

New stock of E6600's would still be at a higher price.

Intel launched the new 1333fsb cpu at a new lower price point, in order to encourage people to transistion over. Generally people arent considering the E6x20's and E6x00's now, the choice is between 1333 fsb dual cores or our 1066 quad cores, there are loads of threads on this if you want more info
