Looking at buying one of these for doing the towing work and will probably be used as a bit of a daily too.

I know they eat tyres and brakes, but anything else in particular to look out for? Do they suffer from DPF issues much? Any "must have" spec items?

Spec seems good, new tyres, discs and pads. Interior looks pretty fresh too. Will have 12 months AUC warranty.

It's pre-facelift being 2008 and underneath I think they are exactly the same as what is now badged as the Xdrive 35d, have I got that right?

Even on a sub 60k mile example the warranty is pretty expensive on these - circa £1300 a year for the proper one with comprehensive cover.

Cheers Fox, I've managed to get a 2 year AUC warranty as part of the deal now which sweetens it nicely.

Jumping into it after a RRS, which was great, cannot believe how well they handle, so much grip for a big 'un.
