Is 70-deg roughly the max safe temp for a E7200.?

Also using speed fan to monitor things and the core 0 and 1 temps are at around the 66 deg mark but the cpu temp is reading is 52-ish. Which of the readings should I be looking at.?

73C is safe going by Intel.

You need update Apps to read 45nm CPU's properly.

Speedfan 4.35 and the CPU temp is Socket, the Core 0 and Core 1 is the Diode.

Core Temp 0.99.3.

Real Temp 2.75 Beta.

I believe Real Temp can indicate thermal throttling, so you can leave it running Prime or whatever and check the monitor when you return.

Cooler is always better but 65 degrees at full load isn't unreasonable.

Got hold of an Asus PK5 premium black pearl on the cheap and using it with an Arctic freezer 7 pro. Probably not the best for the job but at half the fan speed and @ 3.2ghz it sits around the 64-deg mark all day long. On tick over it's at 44-deg.
