Ive got an E7400, ive got it to 3.38ghz so far.. i had it stable at 3.65 a few days ago but like gambling i pushed it and did'nt take down the settings i had it at..

I want it at around 3.5 stable..

The reason for this post is ive spent ages messing around with this..

@ 3.38 at the moment im getting random blue screens whilst playing games etc.. and i can't take it anymore :p

Wondering if anyone knows anything worth trying.. Im all ears guys.

Thanks in advance

Ps. Quite new to overclocking but im a quick learner.

Hello Azz_Lub,

3.5GHz should be quite easy . . . what is your cooling?

Cell Menu
  • Adjust CPU FSB Frequency (MHz) = (333)
  • FSB/DRAM Ratio [1066]
  • CPU Voltage [Auto*]
*vCore may need manually adjusting upwards if the board doesn't give the chip enough juice

CPU-z
Core-Temp
Prime 95

Screenies of CPU-z showing both the [CPU] + [MEM] tab along with coretemp/Prime Small FFTs would be dandy!

Thanks for your reply,

Ive tried what you suggested mate, No luck!

I'll sort out them screen shots for you after work mate and thanks again

Post up your bios settings, what voltages you are on and have previously tried etc, as much background info on the testing you have completed as possible
