hi guys just installed e8200 with stock cooler, but temps seem to be high.

installing cod4 it was around 58*C , is this too hot?

I did have a fight with installing cooler, it did look like intel needed to put bit more paste on sink.

cheers

well i dont think so. its running on ga-p31-ds3l

i did have a problem with cpu_fan header (the fan stopped) so i switched it to case_fan1

doing a RMA for cpu header seems to be a bother but if i need to i will.

i think it was running at 1700RPM in bios, is this slow?

ok i just turned the new pc on and i'm getting like 45*C cpu1 52*C cpu2 idle....that why speed step

do maybe i need to resit sink? 1700RPM normal or should it be more?

cheers

yh i did something wrong, after it clicked in i turned it (the pins) now re seated and AS5 is on after i cleaned with tissue and water...(dont ask LOL)

its better. Happy with the system.

Thanks
