Morning all,
Got my new toys yesterday :D

I want to o/c a bit but noticed i can't get the CPU multiplier past 8.... is it capped??

Therefore will i just have to o/c by increasing fsb only?

Yup. The e8200 is limited to an 8x multi.

In every range of CPU's the price generally reflects the multiplier. My e8500 has a 9.5x multi which is handy but the chip was quite pricy.

you've luckily got a mobo that should easily manage a 500mhz fsb and get that chip to 4ghz (assuming you have a fairly decent air cooler).

Get clocking! :)

cool, been a while since i've done any- is prime95 still the bst stability tester?

Along with that i've also used orthos and have found the OCCT suite very impressive.

OCCT is a little simplistic (sometimes not a bad thing) but does all i need it to. Stresses ram, cpu or a combination of the two. Then when complete it outputs graphs showing temperature variations on each of the cores, voltage droop for the cpu's voltage supply and voltage droops on each of the rails for the entire period of the test.

OCCT can be found here: http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php
