hi,
im upgrading my pc slowly ooking at a e8*** cpu and have a quick question

is the only difference between a e8200 and a e8400 the multiplier? if so as long as i have a mobo and ram that is able to do the job could i achieve the same overclock just with a higher FSB?

thanks, as for the mobo i am thinking of a p5q.

ok thanks, so from your reply i am guessing it is the multi that is the only difference.

should i be ok with some 8500 ram and the p5q? (if i should be asking this question in a different forum section sorry)

@ benwoodcock
i plan to change ram as well, want 2 x 2gb so i might as well get some 8500 whilst im doing it.

thanks for the help guys as im on a budget and the money i save on the cpu (as in the 8200 over the 8400) can be spent on the ram.
