Its remarkable how quickly the orthos people decend on anyone sporting a decent OC.

Stable is as stable as you need it to be, 12 hours orthos is way OTT for a lot of people, if you're a folder or whatever then fine it has to be absolutely 100% all of the time but I've had OCs that I know for a fact aren't Orthos stable that have literally never ever crashed or bluescreened or anything after hours of gaming or encoding or anything.

Its not the be all and end all and no one has the right to demand screenshots of some OTT benchmark to prove stability unless the poster is claiming orthos stability in which case I guess they'd post screenshots because 12 hours or whatever of running that is a fat waste of electricity unless you post a pic and wave your epeen about a bit :p

its a bit like saying you're incapable of running if you can't provide a marathon time. Nonsense!

Wow, finally someone has said it! I think that by being able to prove that your computer is prime stable is fine but you shouldn't knock other people who simply don't give a crap :D

said it a few times but the OC Nazis just keep coming! You watch, they'll be back! It's normally

blah blah blah blah pc can't add up blah blah blah blah 1+1 is 2 not 1.999999999 blah blah blah my pc is stable is yours blah blah blah

Who cares... mine switches on, works, doesn't crash and has so far not turned into a cheesecake so we're all good. No one got hurt and the internet didn't break.

here here !....i have overclocked my 2.4 conroe to 3.4 and its running fine,i dont need to stress test it as long as it does what i want it to do like play game's.
i totally agree with you m8.

Pushed mine abit further now, running at 356 x 9.00 giving me 3204 Mhz, I could go further but.. I don't think I need to just yet !

I'm unsure what voltage to give this chip though as the BIOS set under Auto was rather low.. so I've set it to 1.2550 in the bios which shows up as 1.250 in CPU-Z , is 1.250 too much ?

Also my memory is at 427 and I might Oc the CPU further just to OC the ram some more :D

Idle temps are 42-43 with my Scythe Ninja c/w 120mm Fan, and during a 1/2 hr game of COD4 I'm getting load temps of around 50-52 these all ok ?

EDIT - I'm getting 14.562 running 1M on SuperPi/Mod 1.5 XS

I didn't demand anything, I was just curious as to whether it was Orthos stable or not.

Regardless of if you personally bother with Orthos, it's undeniably a good test of stability. A 32M SuperPi is a reasonable test of stability, but not as thorough as Orthos.
