E8400 issues on Nvidia chipsets

Just swapped out a perfectly good E6600 from my EVGA 680LT mobo for an E8400 and the thing wont even POST. Already had the lastest BIOS for the board (P06) that supports improved 1333fsb overcloking. Just wondered if anyone else had similar issues with this combination

Did you clear the CMOS before swapping the CPU over?

Cheers but that BIOS is for the 680i, not the 680i LT which I have.

Put your old chip back in and flash to p07.

Excellent! Is that a beta BIOS? I looked through their website but P06 was the newest I could find.

Evga put links to new bios's on their forum first.
That way they get a second beta test from the forum users.
Will probably be on the download webpage soon, if it doesn't have too many bugs.
