E8400 low core speed in cpuz

Hiya guys

So i just got my new PC up and running, and I ran CPUz for the first time, and am a bit confused...
I have an E8400 wolfie, and an asus P5K premium. does any of this look out of place :

core voltage : 1.136v
specification : core 2 duo E8400 @ 3.00GHZ
Core speed : 2000.1 mhz (?)
Multiplier : x6.0 (?)
Bus speeed : 333.3mhz
rated fsb : 1333.3mhz

Some of this dont look right to me. How do i fix it?

Just to confirm (as nobody seems to explain what speedstep actually IS these days...)

Intel's speedstep is a power saving feature for the core 2 cpu's. What it generally does is lower the multi down to 6x when the PC is in a state of non or low usage, and thus saves power (i believe it also reduces the voltage, but don't quote me on that) If you put some strain/load on the cpu, you should soon see the multi jump back to what it should be.

If you wish for you PC to run at it's full speed always, then disable it in the bios, by doing the above (speedstep, C1E, EIST - set to disabled) It also may be worth manuall setting your multiplier to it's stock value too, this seems to have fixed some people's problems with not being able to disable speedstep.

Because it reduces heat and power draw when your computer doesn't need the extra computational power, but once it goes under a bit of load and needs the extra clockspeed, it'll ramp right back up.
 
And also caps your maximum overclock, becomes unstable when switching between voltages and high clock frequencies.
If you don't overclock I would say leave it on, if you do overclock and you want the most stable possible system switch it off!
The powers saving benefits are pretty insignificant in the broad scheme of things tbh.
