Hi all ive had my machine for a while now and think its time to rinse out a little more from it, problem is when i do it will not load windows fully.
i have adjusted the fsb to give me 3111mhz and this is as far as i can go, if i tune the fsb any further it either wont post or if it does it wont load windows (i get to the bar scrolling screen then it stalls).
I have messed with the voltage upto just under 1.4v to no avail, so i have now left it standard @1.296v. Idealy i woul like 3.6 out of it but would settle at 3.4 as my temps arnt that good 3.1=44c at idle and 55-56 at load so only about 4-5c to play with imo.
any and all help would be apprieciated 8]

dont know if sig is showing so.....

Are those core temps?

Run either Core temp or Real temp (links can be found above in the sticky's)

You may need to re seat your CPU cooler with better thermal paste

I think you should have no issues getting to 3.6....

Your temps seem to be a bit on the high side! i am using the the same cooler as yourself for example:-

what other voltages and timings are you using?

them temps r a little high m8 check to make sure all the plastic pins from the cooler r connected if they are id suggest you reaply thermal paste and refit

Thanks for your replies, hope the pic below can help. the cpu has been reseated twice in the last year to try and get it cooler using decent paste and the recomended way? (a line down the center of the cpu)? though the cooler fan did have a hard time seating correctly, it doesnt anymore thanks to a dremel ;] so it should all be ok on that side of it.
