E8400 overclock advice

getting an e8400 and looking to clock just a touch

i've read that you can clock it to 3.6ghz on stock (this would be best for me as never really done it before - minimal changes best!) using the stock cooler.

i'll be looking at the arctic freezer 7 pro but in the interest of saving a few quid here and there would it be fine to go with a cheaper cooler? not heard great things about the stock ones

ah dont worry i thought that at first, get ya self a beast of a cooler, read some threads and guides and know what volts not to go over and just have a fiddle got mine 4ghz no probs its all learning, and ull pick it up pretty quick

What Motherboard and RAm u've got?
IMO Freezer could be not enough to manage 4 GHz 24/7

it should be enough, i've had no problem what so ever, bar intel burn test which is the most intensive application to run to test your cpu, full load temp was 89c, never goes above 65c when u sing orthos.
