Hi Guys ( & Gals ),

I have an E8400 but running at stock and would like to know the best way of getting the most out of my CPU but by running it safely and not to the ultimate max, I have an Akasa AK-965BL cooler fitted to keep things chillyhttp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-046-AK&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395 and these are mounted onto an Asus P5Q Pro board, would it be best to use the supplied software that came with the board or would it be more of a professional overclock to use the bios settings and if so what do I set them to.
My System spec is listed below so any tips on Overclocking my components will be greatly appreciated as it all runs on stock settings...but be warned if the advise is not straight forward I will ask a million questions as I am new to the overclock.

yeah, they'll going to delete all that.

specs are:

Antec 900 case
Corsair TX650W
Asus P5Q Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 x2 2gb Tri fan
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Reaper HPC
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache x2 running in raid 0

bios would be the best, you read the threads about it?
