Got an e8400, Gigabyte P35-DS3P and 4gb of OCZ PC6400 (4x1gb)

Now I just want to overclock this thing to 3.6ghz (400x9) as this can be done without upping the voltage or upping the ram. Currently got the cpu at 3.2ghz (356x9) but the ram is reading:

Now shouldn't that 5:6 thing be set as 1:1?? As at the moment the ram is overclocked and I think setting the CPU bus speed to 400mhz is sending the ram to 480mhz, which is making it fall over (well, the pc turns on with no screen, turns off, then turns back on with default bios)

Bit new to all this, so step by step help as to what the hell I'm looking for in the bios will be greatly apreciated!!

Go into your BIOS->hit ctrl + F1 to open MB Intelligent Tweaker->System Memory Multiplier, this is where you change the multi for the memory, if you want it to run at 1:1 set it at 2.00, then F10 to Save & Exit. :)

I've just installed F11 bios and these options are available without pressing ctrl F1. But you should be able to change the divider without doing this on an earlier bios. This just enables you to change the latency timings.

You need to set divider to 2, then make sure the voltage and latency timings are set to manufactures specification. The voltage is probably set to auto which is 1.8v. so you'd need to add volts to get it stable.

Might want to up the fsb and northbridge voltage to a little too.

I've just installed a E8500, so i've just done this to overclock upto 425 fsb. What temps are you getting with the E8400. Mine seems to be very high even at stock when idling. I was lead to believe it was a motherboard issue so would be interested in what temps you've been getting.
