e8400 question overclocking and best settings

hi i have a x38 gigabyte ds4 mobo , and a e8400 cpu ,

it is currently at 420mhz fsb and 9.5 multiplyier i used the extrs .5 multi the new gigabyte bios gives you , so the comp is running at 4.0 ghz , and is air cooled , if i want the most power out of this chip for gaming etc , what settings can i change and can i get more from this cpu? or is the e8400 dated now ?

firstly the e8400 is not dated

secondly what voltages are you running through your chipset, RAM, cpu etc

cpu 1.462 v
ddr2 overvoltage + .25 v
pci-e +.5 v
fsb overvoltage +.5 v

fsb of ddr2 is on auto , and at 1011 fsb (normal is 800)

I think that a tad too high for a e8400, mine is at 1.20v.

wait, how did the gigabyte bios give you a 9.5 multi?

new bets bios , allows a cpu fine tuning multiplier of adding .5 onto the 9

Snap, mine is @1.2 too. It needs 1.3 for 4GHz stable but I'm happy at 3.6 24/7.

AFAIK anything over 1.39 is to much for a wolfdale.
