Hello

1) does the retail e8400 come with thermal compound?

2) Whats a good cooler (and thermal compound if its not with retail) to keep my 8400 cool when o/cing.

Mb is X38DS4, doesnt look a tight sqeeze, just need advice on a good all round cooller, price: anything up to about £25

normally the retail cooler will come pre-applied with thermal compound so you cant use that on any other cooler.

Artic silver 5 is generally regarded as being one of the best around for the thermal compound.

The cooler is dependant on the size of your case, but with £25 budget I would suggest the artic cooler 7.
