Was thinking on upgrading my current cpu, an e6600, as i have no confidence in overclocking, and saw that the E8400 stock speed is 3ghz, which seems to be fine, now one of my problems is will my current memory be ok or will i need to buy new stuff

Need to ask as i will also need to upgrade my bios to a beta version to run the Cpu.
