E8500 only showing 1 core!

Very odd had a check in my bios settings and I can clearly see that 2 cores are enabled.
in device manager i can see 2 cores enabled..............but in core temp, real temp and cpu-z i can only see one core temp.
Anyone got any ideas why? so am i running both cores or has the temp probe for that core gone down?
only core 0 is visable which is core one.
I suspect that a sensor is stuck. any reason for that and can i send it back to intel?

yes i had a look in the msconfig boot set up you can only select 1 core from the drop down list.

tried selecting HAL in msconfig, im not sure if tem probe is down or if im only using 1 core.

Thanks for your help guys, its all working now seems system was working fine i just happend to check my sensors.
Ok here is what i did msconfig/boot/advance options/de-select number of processors/click detech HAL/ reboot............then after reboot go back into the hal settings and deselect HAL.
should be ok.
