e8600 overclock help please :)

Could any help me getting my overclock higher, i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to overclocking.

I'm hoping for a bit extra out of my e8600 but have no clue how to do it. All i have done to get the 4ghz is but the fsb at 1600 and multiplayer by 10 in the mobo settings.

So what would be the best way of going about it, i'm after at least 4.3 ghz

You won't see very much if any improvement from 4Ghz to 4.3Ghz. Why would you bother? 4Ghz is more than enough and a pretty good overclock as it is for an E8600.

If you take my advice I'd say leave it alone.

i would have to agree that you won't realisticly see much benifit from it, but all you need to do is put ur front side bus to 430 with a multi of 10 and hey presto 4.3ghz.

You may have to nudge north bridge and vcore up a notch or two for this though.

Thanks for the advice i will leave it be

its stable and running at a nice temp as it is so i guess there no need to go higher.
