E90 330i coolant temp looking a little low

Out of curiosity I've been checking my 330i's coolant temp using the dashboard diagnostic menu. It seems to have an issue with not reaching operating temperature despite returning decent mpg for the type of driving I do.

On cold start the car will quickly reach 92c (<10 mins), then I guess the thermostat switches and it will drop to 75c quickly, rise back up to 85c fairly quickly, then back to 75c and so on. Occasionally it will go back up to 95c ish then back down to 75c.

Despite still getting a decent 34 mpg over 415 miles of mixed driving, I'm worried that I might be causing damage to the engine when redlining it with the variable 75-85c coolant temp.

Can anyone else with an E90 330i share their typical coolant temp with me? One option is live with it as there are no apparent issues with the car unless you go digging through the diagnostic menu.

I have found several users on various BMW forums with the same issue. Both of them replaced the thermostat and one of them the water pump as well. Neither had improvement in the form of increased coolant temp.

I have just read that resetting the engine adaptions through INPA seemed to do the trick for one of them...
